Location
Bük is located in Western Hungary, in the northern part of Vas County
on the border with the Alps and the Small Flatland, in the valley of the Répce River. It is only 90 minutes’ drive from Vienna and Bratislava and a little over two-hours’ drive from Budapest. With approximately 3000 inhabitants, the village of Bük has emerged as an active spa resort and become the home of the Bükfürdő Golf & Country Club, featuring an 18-hole/Par 72 Championship golf course.
Rooms
The Golf & Spa Resort Hotel Bükfürdő has a total of 193 rooms and 15 suites, including 3 rooms for the physically challenged. All rooms are elegantly furnished and designed in 3 different styles, overlooking either the golf course or the landscaped surroundings. The in-room amenities include modem port, Satellite-TV with radio, coffee/tea facilities, bathrobe and slippers, safe and hair dryer.
Restaurants & Bars
The resort has 2 restaurants, the 40-seater a-la carte “Laguna”
Mediterranean style restaurant and the 160-seater international restaurant “Seasons” with a terrace overlooking the golf course. Both the Albatross Golf Pub and the Piano Bar in the hotel lobby are popular meeting places for guests during a round of golf or for relaxing between health spa treatments.
Conference facilities
Conference facilities of 280 m2 include a main conference room of 201 m2 with a capacity of up to 160 guests for banquets and 310 guests for a cocktail reception, as well as three smaller board rooms for parties or group meetings.

The 3500 m2 generously designed wellness area offers modern health
and beauty treatments such as Ayurveda-, Thai- and Aroma Massages, as
well as Exotic Frangipani Body Wraps and much more. The spa world is
equipped with 1 freshwater indoor and outdoor pool, a 20m sport pool,
2 thermal water pools and an extensive sauna facility featuring 2 Finnish saunas, a Turkish steam bath, salt grotto, herbal chamber and much more. A hair studio and sun tanning facility are also at the guest’s disposal.
For the active vacation, there is the directly from the hotel accessible 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, a state of the art equipped fitness studio, aerobic gym and lots of nature for walking, jogging or bicycling.
Sights
After Budapest and Balaton, Western Transdanubia is one of the most
prominent tourist regions in Hungary. Principal towns close to the spa at Bük include the cultural center, Gyôr, subalpine- climate holiday center Sopron and the beautiful, scenic village of Kôszeg. The Benedictine Abbey at Panonhalma, is over 1,000 years old and on the World Heritage List. It attracts large numbers of cultural tourists to the area. |
